适用范围
ＧＢ／Ｔ２９１０的本部分规定了采用甲酸／氯化锌法测定去除非纤维物质后的粘胶纤维、某些铜氨纤维、莫代尔纤维或莱赛尔纤维与棉纤维两组分混合物含量的方法。如试样中有铜氨纤维、莫代尔纤维或莱赛尔纤维存在时，则应预先试验是否溶于试剂。
本部分不适用于混合物中的棉纤维已经受到严重的化学降解，也不适用于粘胶纤维、铜氨纤维、莫代尔纤维或莱赛尔纤维中存在不能完全去除的耐久性整理剂或活性染料，致使其不能完全溶解。

【摘要】:Sieveanalysesarecarriedouttodeterminetheparticlesizedistributionofpowderswhich,inturn,areusedtoqualifythosematerialsastotheirusefulnessintheprocessunderconsideration.Sinceparticlesizeanalyseshaveonlyrelativesignificance,theresultsshouldbeconsideredonlywheretheycorrelatewithprocesscharacteristics.Theparameterthatisbeingmeasuredinthistestistheamountofmaterialthatwillpassthroughaclothhavingtheoreticallysquareopenings.Itmustberememberedthatalltheholesarenotsquare,noruniforminsize,andthequestionofwhetheragivenparticlewillgothroughisastatisticalone.Sinceeachparticlesizeanalysismethodmeasuresauniquephysicalparameter,theresultsfromonemethodmaynotagreewiththosefromanother.Particlesizedistributionsplayaroleinsuchpropertiesasbulkdensity,dustiness,andhandlingcharacteristics.Careshouldbetaken,however,wheninterpretationsaremadefromoneortwopoints(sieves)onthedistributioncurve.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheparticlesizedistributionofnonplasticceramicpowderssuchasalumina,silica,feldspar,pyrophyllite,nephelinesyenite,talc,titanates,andzirconusingwireclothsieves.1.2Materialscontainingalargeamountoffines,containingagglomerates,orthatarenonfree-flowing,arewet-sievedtoremoveexcessivefinesortodisperseagglomeratesbeforeperformingthetest.Thistechniqueisnotapplicabletomaterialsthatare,toanydegree,watersoluble.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoinch-poundunits,orareothercustomaryunits(inthecaseofsieveframediameterandsievenumber),thatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
