【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardgivesrecommendationsandguidanceonthedeliveryoftrainingandeducationforworkatheight,includingrescue.ThestandardisapplicabletotrainingforworkwhichfallswithinthescopeoftheWorkatHeightRegulations2005.Thestandardisapplicabletotrainingforworkatheightinanindustrialcontext,includingworkatheightinfactoriesandintheconstruction,civilengineeringandcleaningsectors.NOTETheWorkatHeightRegulations2005specificallyexclude“theprovisionofinstructionorleadershiptooneormorepersonsinconnectionwiththeirengagementincavingorclimbingbywayofsport,recreation,teambuildingorsimilaractivities”.Thestandardisnotapplicabletotheprovisionoftrainingforlowlevelworkatheight,suchastheuseofsmallstepladdersor“hop-ups”inretailenvironmentsorlibraries.Itisalsonotapplicabletotrainingwhichconsistsofjusttheprovisionofsimpleinstructionorproductfamiliarizationorsiteinduction.Itisapplicabletoalltrainingandeducationforworkatheight,includingtraininginvolvingpracticalexperienceofaworkmethodorexperienceofexposuretoheight.Thisalsoincludes“train-the-trainer”typesituationsinwhichanemployerengagesatrainingprovider,oremploysatrainer,todelivertrainingforasinglespecifictask,oronaspecificproduct,tosomeoftheiremployeeswhotheninturnprovidetrainingtootheremployees.Thestandardisintendedforusebyallorganizationsandindividualsprovidingsuchtrainingand/oreducation,includingorganizationswhichprovidesuchtrainingtotheirownemployees.Thestandardisapplicabletoalllocationswheresuchtrainingisprovided,whetheratadedicatedtrainingfacilityoratothertrainingsites.Thestandardisintendedtoapplytocourse-basedtrainingandeducation.Itisnotintendedtoapplytotheprovisionbyanemployerofongoingexperience-basedtrainingandeducationintheworkplace,wherethesubjectmatterofthetrainingbeingprovidedisthejobitself,forexampleasprovidedbyanapprenticeship.Thisstandarddoesnotgiveadetailedspecificationofcoursecontent.
