【摘要】:Therateanduniformityofdiecavityfillingarerelatedtoflowproperties,whichthusinfluenceproductionratesanduniformityofcompactedparts.Theabilityofapowdertoflowisafunctionofinterparticlefriction.Asinterparticlefrictionincreases,flowisslowed.Somepowders,oftenfinepowdersandlubricatedpowdermixtures,maynotflowthroughtheHallfunnelofTestMethodB213..Nevertheless,ifalargerorificeisprovided,suchasintheCarneyfunnel,ameaningfulflowratemaybedetermined,providingspecificinformationforcertainapplications.TestMethodB213.,usingtheHallfunnel,isthepreferredmethodfordeterminingtheflowabilityofmetalpowders.TheCarneyfunnelofthesetestmethodsshouldonlybeusedwhenapowderwillnotflowthroughtheHallfunnel.ThesetestmethodsmayalsobeusedforcomparisonofseveralpowderswhensomeflowthroughtheHallfunnelandsomedonot.Humidityandmoisturecontentinfluenceflowrate.WetormoistpowdersmaynotflowthrougheithertheHallortheCarneyfunnel.Thesetestmethodsarebasedonflowofaspecificmassofpowder.Ifflowofaspecificvolumeofpowderispreferred,TestMethodB855maybeusedforpowdersthatflowreadilythroughtheHallfunnel.Thesetestmethodsmaybepartofthepurchaseagreementbetweenpowdersuppliersandpowdermetallurgy(PM)partproducers,oritcanbeaninternalqualitycontroltestbyeitherthesupplierortheenduser.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationofaflowrate,byuseoftheCarneyfunnel,ofmetalpowdersandpowdermixturesthatdonotreadilyflowthroughtheHallfunnelofTestMethodB213.nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;1.2Thisisanon-destructivequantitativetestperformedinthelaboratory.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesstatedinparenthesesareforinformationonly,convertedaccordingtoIEEE/ASTMStandardSI10.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
